The castle is a monument of barbarous antiquity. It is a vast stone building, surrounded by a stone rampant, standing on a hill that overlooks the town. Behind the castle an aqueduct runs across a deep dell.
The drawing was glued on a cardboard, originally numbered 2.46, and kept in a portfolio. Title from note on the original cardboard. Forms part of: Library Collection. Drawings.
